The Angler’s Retreat
The Angler’s Retreat is a fishing guesthouse on the island of South Uist in the Outer Hebrides, off the northwest coast of Scotland.
Its owners, Billy and Marion Felton, have created a fine base for anglers pursuing the trout and salmon of South Uist and Benbecula.
The fishing there is extraordinary. The islands breed trout of uncommon size and vigour, while the remote, mid-Atlantic setting gives a wild edge to the sport.
Like any favoured fishing spot, The Angler’s Retreat draws regulars back each year - and resounds each evening to the same old tales of triumph, tragedy and trivia.
